Four Greek members of parliament are scheduled to face trial this autumn following charges brought by the European Public Prosecutor's Office regarding their involvement in the management of agricultural funds linked to OPEKEPE. These proceedings are the first to be conducted under a new Ministry of Justice directive intended to fast-track cases involving political figures.

The judicial calendar begins on October 2, with the trial of Katerina Papakosta, who will appear before the Third Single-Member Court of Appeal due to her professional status as a lawyer. Subsequent trials are set for Christos Boukoros on October 27, Maximos Senetakis on October 30, and Kostas Skrekas on November 12. The latter three will be tried by the Three-Member Misdemeanor Court.

All four parliamentarians face charges of moral authorship in breach of trust and moral authorship in the illegal management of European funds. Katerina Papakosta faces additional charges of moral authorship in false certification and attempted computer fraud. These cases stem from ongoing investigations into the payment agency for the primary sector, marking a significant legal development in the accountability of Greek officials regarding European Union financial resources.
