APOEL defeats Olympiakos Nicosia 3-0 in preseason friendly

APOEL Nicosia successfully began its preseason preparations on July 22, 2026, by securing a 3-0 victory against Olympiakos Nicosia. The friendly match took place at the Archangelos training center, serving as the first competitive test for the squad under the guidance of coach Nikos Papadopoulos.

All three goals were scored in the second half of the game. Dalsio opened the scoring in the 60th minute, followed by Laifis, who extended the lead in the 67th minute. Marquinhos finalized the score at 3-0 in the 78th minute. The match provided the technical staff with an opportunity to evaluate players' fitness and tactical readiness early in the training cycle.

Following this result, APOEL is scheduled to travel to the Netherlands on Saturday for the primary phase of its preseason training, which will include additional friendly matches. Meanwhile, Olympiakos Nicosia will continue its preparations in Kyperounta and is set to play its next friendly against AEL on July 25.
