Omonia 29M signs three Panathinaikos prospects on loan
Cypriot club Omonia 29M has officially announced the acquisition of three young players from the Greek club Panathinaikos on loan agreements for the upcoming season. The transaction, confirmed between July 22 and July 24, 2026, involves central defender Angelos Vyntras (born February 26, 2008), midfielder Rusind Zeka (born February 28, 2007), and versatile attacker Giorgos Sokos (born January 25, 2007). All three players extended their contracts with Panathinaikos before finalizing their loan moves to the Cypriot side.
This strategic partnership aims to provide the young talents with consistent playing time to further their development. The clubs have publicly expressed mutual satisfaction with the cooperation, with Omonia 29M thanking the Greek team for the smooth negotiation process. In addition to these loans, Omonia 29M has also bolstered its squad by signing 23-year-old goalkeeper Nikos Grammatikakis, who was a free agent following his departure from Volos.
