Manolis Saliakas signs with Olympiacos
Olympiacos officially announced the acquisition of 29-year-old right-back Manolis Saliakas from the German club St. Pauli on July 24, 2026. The player, who previously played for PAS Giannina before moving to Germany in 2022, has signed a three-year contract with the Piraeus-based club and is set to join the team's training camp in the Netherlands.
The transfer deal was finalized for 1.3 million euros, including a future sell-on clause and additional performance-based bonuses. During his tenure in Germany, Saliakas established himself as a consistent player, recording 9 goals and 12 assists across 120 appearances for St. Pauli in both the Bundesliga and the second division. In the recently concluded season, he made 20 appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal.
This move marks a return for Saliakas to the Greek league after his successful four-year stint abroad. The agreement was reached following negotiations that progressed rapidly, leading the player to travel directly to the Netherlands to integrate into the Olympiacos squad for the upcoming season.
