Panathinaikos negotiates signing of midfielder Kings Kangwa

Panathinaikos has confirmed ongoing negotiations to acquire 27-year-old midfielder Kings Kangwa from Hapoel Be'er Sheva. The Greek club reportedly reached an initial agreement with the Zambian international as early as the first week of May under former coach Rafael Benitez, while current coach Jacob Neestrup has since evaluated the player's fit for the squad.

Although interest from AEK Athens inflated the transfer cost, Panathinaikos maintains a competitive advantage by allowing Kangwa to participate in the Champions League qualifiers with Hapoel Be'er Sheva.
