The road in Konia, Paphos, was officially reopened to two-way traffic on Thursday evening, July 23, 2026. The project was completed ahead of the original contractual deadline, which had scheduled the delivery for September.

Acting Mayor of Paphos, Angelos Onisiforou, attributed the early completion to effective coordination between the Paphos Municipality, the City Council, site engineers, municipal staff, and the construction contractor. Mr. Onisiforou formally apologized to residents for the temporary disruption caused during the construction phase and expressed gratitude for the public's patience and cooperation throughout the project.

The municipality stated that the primary objective for this and future infrastructure initiatives remains the completion of works with high safety and quality standards in the shortest possible time. By finishing the project before the expected date, the local government aims to minimize inconvenience for residents and enhance the daily urban experience. No further construction or closures are expected for this route at this time.
