On Friday, July 24, 2026, violent clashes in the village of Tal in the northern occupied West Bank resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians and one Israeli. According to Israeli military reports, the incident occurred after a Palestinian allegedly seized a weapon from security personnel and opened fire on Israeli civilians hiking in the area. In contrast, Palestinian officials stated that local residents were attacked by Israeli civilians, leading to a fatal confrontation involving both civilians and soldiers.

In addition to the five fatalities, four Palestinians were wounded, three of them critically, and two Israelis were injured.
