Government spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis emphasized that the administration remains committed to a solution based on a bizonal, bicommunal federation with political equality, consistent with UN Security Council resolutions and EU law. The government explicitly rejected any proposals that deviate from this framework, such as a loose confederation, maintaining that the solution must ensure one sovereignty, one citizenship, and one international personality. Officials clarified that the goal remains to resume negotiations from the point where they stalled at Crans Montana in 2017.
