Krasava ENY Ypsona completes major squad overhaul for the upcoming season
Krasava ENY Ypsona has aggressively reshaped its squad through a series of signings and contract renewals between July 24 and July 28, 2026. The club secured new talent including forward Lysandros Papastylianou (born 2005), Greek winger Michalis Panagidis (22), defender Konstantinos Venizelou (2004), defensive midfielder Panagiotis Angeli (20), and defender Andreas Georgiou (2006). Additionally, the team added significant experience by signing 29-year-old former international center-back Fanos Katelaris, formerly of Anorthosis, and 30-year-old attacking midfielder Vasilis Papafotis, who joined after six years at AEL Limassol.
Simultaneously, the club prioritized retaining key personnel to stabilize the team. Management confirmed contract renewals for Spanish player Xavi Quintilla, who returns after an injury-plagued season, and captain Luiji De Lucas, who signed a two-year extension following his vital role in keeping the team in the First Division last year. These strategic moves follow a period of evaluating the squad's performance from the previous campaign. The club is now finalizing its roster as it prepares to integrate these new acquisitions and established players into the team structure under the existing technical staff, aiming for a more competitive standing in the upcoming Cypriot league season.
