Polis Chrysochous municipality upgrades beach amenities for summer season
As the summer season reaches its peak, the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous has announced that its 14 organized beaches are fully operational for residents and visitors. The coastal front, stretching from Porto Latsi and the Municipal Beach to the Baths of Aphrodite, Ttakkas, Gialia, and Pomos, now features standardized amenities including sunbeds, umbrellas, and complimentary Wi-Fi access.
A central focus of the current season is accessibility. The municipality has installed specialized infrastructure at Ttakkas beach in the Neo Chorio district and at the Polis Chrysochous Municipal Beach, including Seatrac and Floating systems, as well as designated accessible restrooms. Additionally, the Municipal Beach in Latsi has introduced floating recreational equipment for the first time.
The authorities have issued a safety advisory noting that the Latsi G (Perigiali) beach does not provide lifeguard services. The municipality continues to oversee these locations as visitor numbers increase daily, emphasizing its commitment to equitable sea access.
