Fenerbahce launches bid for Rafael Leao as Milan eyes Konstantinos Karetsas
Turkish club Fenerbahce has initiated a major transfer bid to acquire Portuguese winger Rafael Leao from AC Milan, according to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport. The proposed offer stands at 50 million euros, accompanied by a five-year contract for the player. The deal includes a base salary of 8 million euros per year, with additional performance-based bonuses: 1.5 million euros for reaching 20 appearances, 1.5 million euros for scoring 15 goals, and a 1 million euro bonus for winning the domestic league title.
Should AC Milan accept this offer, it is expected to trigger a significant shift in their transfer strategy, specifically facilitating the pursuit of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas. The Italian club has identified Karetsas as a top priority, and his current team, Genk, is reportedly seeking 40 million euros for the transfer. Negotiations between the involved parties are currently in the preliminary stages as the clubs evaluate the potential impact of these concurrent deals on their squad compositions.
