On Saturday, July 25, 2026, the Greek Patriot missile battery deployed in the Yanbu region of Saudi Arabia successfully intercepted multiple aerial threats originating from Yemen. According to the Greek Ministry of National Defence, the battery neutralized two ballistic missiles at 07:15 Cyprus time, targeting a critical oil refinery. Throughout the remainder of the day, the unit continued its defensive operations, successfully downing two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at 11:10 and 17:05 Greek time, respectively.

Following the engagements, Greek Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias held a telephone conversation with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman. The Prince expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Greek Force in Saudi Arabia (ELDYSA) and its role in countering regional security threats. The deployment remains a key component of the international Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) initiative, which supports the kingdom's air defense capabilities.
