Cypriot athletes are currently competing at the 23rd Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, which began on July 23, 2026. The men’s artistic gymnastics team secured a notable fifth place in the team event with 228.350 points, competing against major nations despite missing key team members. In the individual all-around gymnastics final, Marios Georgiou delivered a high-level performance but narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth with 78.950 points, trailing the bronze medalist by only 0.050 points. Fellow gymnast Giorgos Angonas placed 14th in the same final.

In swimming, Maria Erokhina achieved a milestone by qualifying for the 100m breaststroke semifinals, where she eventually ranked 13th overall with a time of 1:09:44. Other swimmers, including Filippos Iakovidis, Alexandros Grigoriou, Markos Iakovidis, and Panagiotis Panaretos, completed their efforts in the preliminary rounds. Additionally, gymnast Georgia Charalambous participated in the qualifying rounds for the women's artistic gymnastics, placing 26th in the individual all-around and narrowly missing the final.
