Manchester City leads FIFA 2026 World Cup club payouts

Following the 2026 World Cup, Manchester City has emerged as the top recipient of the FIFA Club Benefits Programme. The English club is set to receive approximately 4 million euros (or 4.7 million dollars according to some sources) for contributing 19 players to the tournament. This initiative compensates clubs for releasing their players to national teams during the competition.

Overall, FIFA is distributing a total of approximately 310 million euros (cited elsewhere as 366 million dollars) to clubs worldwide, with European teams accounting for roughly 70% of the total funds. Following Manchester City in the rankings are major European clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, and Atletico Madrid. Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia stands as the only non-European club in the top 15 list. Additionally, Greek Super League clubs will collectively receive about 2.2 million euros based on the 1,414 minutes of participation recorded by their players.
