Recent fire incidents in Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos districts

On Saturday, a kitchen fire at a private residence on the Akaki-Meniko road caused extensive damage to the property, while a separate fire damaged a recycling transport truck parked in Nicosia. No injuries were reported in these incidents, which authorities attributed to electrical or mechanical faults.
On Sunday, multiple forest fires broke out across the island. A fire near the Alexigros forest in Klavdia, Larnaca, burned one hectare of stubble before being contained by the Forestry Department and civil defense forces. Another fire occurred at Kampos in the Tsakkistra area, requiring the intervention of aerial firefighting assets. Additionally, a forest fire at Kampos tou Vouppou in the Paphos forest burned five decares of vegetation before being brought under control by afternoon.
