Over the weekend of July 25-26, 2026, Cyprus experienced several fire incidents. On Sunday, multiple forest fires broke out across the island. Another fire occurred at Kampos in the Tsakkistra area, requiring the intervention of aerial firefighting assets. Additionally, a forest fire at Kampos tou Vouppou in the Paphos forest burned five decares of vegetation before being brought under control by afternoon. Authorities are currently investigating the causes of all forest fires, while cleanup and monitoring operations remain ongoing in the affected areas.
