Under the guidance of new head coach Nestor El Maestro, the team successfully kicked off its series of friendlies on July 26 by defeating Cracovia 1-0. Marios Elia scored the decisive goal in the 26th minute, following an assist from Tobias Settin. The match allowed the coaching staff to rotate 23 players and test various tactical formations as they prepare for the upcoming season.

The team faces personnel challenges as midfielder Stefanos Charalambous has been sidelined with an ankle sprain, officially confirmed on July 25. He will miss the entire training camp in Poland while awaiting MRI results to determine his recovery timeline. Meanwhile, Dutch midfielder Joel van Nieff has returned to the squad following a year-long absence due to multiple surgeries and is undergoing a specialized management program to regain his fitness.
