The Iranian Ministry of Petroleum announced on July 25, 2026, that the country generated 18 billion dollars in oil revenue throughout the ongoing conflict with the United States. This period of hostility began in late February following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Tehran. According to the ministry, 11.5 billion dollars were earned between February 28 and the April 8 ceasefire, while an additional 6.5 billion dollars were generated from April 8 to July 7, before hostilities resumed.

The ministry claims this revenue accounts for over 60 percent of the annual budget projections for oil exports. However, there are discrepancies regarding export capabilities during the blockade. While the ministry reports continuous sales, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the president of the Iranian parliament, stated in late June that a U.S.-imposed naval blockade between mid-April and mid-June resulted in zero barrels of oil being exported during that timeframe.

This conflict remains fluid as tensions persist in the region, with the ministry providing these figures as an official assessment of the economic impact of the hostilities on Iran's energy sector.
