Shavy Babicka joins Dubai United FC
Gabonese forward Shavy Babicka has officially joined the Emirati club Dubai United for the 2026/27 season. Babicka, formerly associated with Aris and Red Star Belgrade, moves to the UAE-based club on a loan agreement that includes a purchase clause set at 4 million euros.
This transfer creates a new link between the Cypriot football league and the United Arab Emirates, as Babicka joins his former colleague Willy Semedo at the club. Dubai United, owned by Sergey Lomakin—the owner of Pafos FC—has now secured both players as part of its strategic recruitment efforts to strengthen the squad for the upcoming season.
The move marks a significant professional transition for the Gabonese international. While initial reports from Serbian media outlet Mozzart Sport suggested the loan structure, the official confirmation from the club on July 26, 2026, solidifies his role in the team's preparations as they aim to bolster their roster for the new campaign.
