UEFA announces referee appointments for European cup qualifiers

UEFA has confirmed the refereeing teams for the second leg of the second qualifying round of European competitions involving Cypriot clubs, scheduled between July 28 and July 30, 2026.

On July 28, Apollon will host Dila Gori, officiated by Ukrainian referee Klim Zambronda. On July 29, Omonia travels to face Kairat, with Norwegian referee Rohit Saggi in charge, assisted by VAR officials Michael Fabbri (Italy) and Christopher Hagenes (Norway). On July 30, two matches take place: Pafos FC hosts Hajduk Split, officiated by Polish referee Pawel Raczkowski with VAR assistance from Stuart Attwell (England) and Piotr Urban (Poland), and AEK visits Beitar Jerusalem, refereed by Portuguese official Fabio Verissimo.

Separately, the Cyprus Football Association confirmed that Cypriot referees have been appointed to oversee the match between Vestri and FC RFS on July 30 in Reykjavik. Additionally, Costas Kapitanis and Michalis Argyrou have been assigned as referee observers for upcoming UEFA fixtures, including matches involving Dinamo Zagreb and Zilina, respectively.

These appointments follow the standard qualification protocols for the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. All clubs remain in the second preliminary stage, aiming to advance to the next rounds of their respective tournaments.
