Cyprus issues yellow heat warning as temperatures hit 40 degrees

Authorities have advised citizens to take necessary precautions against the heatwave, particularly during the peak afternoon hours. Temperatures in coastal areas are forecast to reach approximately 34 to 36 degrees, while higher mountain regions will see temperatures around 30 degrees. The hot spell is expected to persist until at least the end of the work week, with conditions remaining stable as the high temperatures continue to impact the island.
