On the evening of Sunday, July 26, 2026, a mass shooting occurred at the annual Bite of Seattle food festival near the Seattle Center. The incident, which took place around 6:00 p.m. local time, caused widespread panic among attendees as gunfire broke out in the crowded area. Authorities later confirmed that the altercation involved two individuals exchanging gunfire.

According to Tyrone Davis, deputy chief of the Seattle Police Department, the violence resulted in three deaths and four injuries. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while a third succumbed to injuries later. Among the wounded, who were transported to Harborview Medical Center, is a two-year-old child; other victims include a 23-year-old and a 39-year-old. One woman remained in critical condition following the shooting.
