On Monday, July 27, 2026, two separate criminal incidents were reported in the city of Limassol. At approximately 01:15, authorities were alerted to explosions near the municipal parking lot. Investigations revealed that two low-power cylindrical paper firecrackers were detonated at the storefronts of two shops located in a three-story building. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) has launched an investigation into the attempted property destruction.

Additionally, around midnight, a separate robbery occurred at a local kiosk. Two hooded individuals entered the premises, assaulted the employee on duty, and stole a small sum of money before fleeing the scene. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department is also overseeing the probe into this assault and robbery. There have been no reported arrests in connection with either incident at this stage as police examinations continue.
