Two fatal traffic accidents occurred in Nicosia within the last two days, resulting in the deaths of a 39-year-old motorcyclist and a 63-year-old cyclist. On Sunday, July 26, Rodosthenis Christodoulou from Yeri lost his life after his motorcycle deviated from its path, hitting a pavement and a signpost on Ayios Georgios Street in Latsia. An autopsy revealed he died from multiple injuries, and police noted he was likely not wearing a helmet.
On Monday, July 27, 63-year-old George Kalligas from Strovolos died after his bicycle collided with a car at the junction of Agias Marinas Street and Strovolou Avenue. The vehicle involved was driven by a 40-year-old woman.
