The Municipality of Nicosia has announced that its temporary green points located in Kaimakli and Ayios Dhometios will be closed to the public from August 1 to August 16, 2026. This closure is necessitated by the summer holiday schedules of the licensed waste management facilities and contractors responsible for the collection and removal of materials from these sites.

During this period, residents are advised to utilize the state-operated green points, which will provide services free of charge. However, it is important to note that all state facilities will be closed on Saturday, August 15, 2026, due to the public holiday. The Strovolos green point is available from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday through Saturday, and 07:00 to 14:00 on Sundays. Other available state locations, including Alambra, Ergates, Malounta, Astromeritis, Kokkinotrimithia, Peristerona, and Linos, will operate from 08:00 to 19:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 08:00 to 14:00 on Sundays.
