Larnaca Municipality has initiated enforcement action against the owners of a massive advertising billboard installed on private land occupied by a kindergarten near the Faneromenis Avenue roundabout. Residents and passers-by have expressed significant concern regarding the structure, which is estimated to exceed ten meters in height and partially overhangs both the sidewalk and the public roadway.

Mayor Andreas Viras confirmed that the local government is investigating whether the construction complies with the Streets and Buildings Regulation Law and town-planning requirements. The municipality has formally issued an ultimatum to the owners, requiring them to either completely remove the structure or reduce its dimensions to legal standards by the deadline of Monday, August 3.

Should the owners fail to comply with these demands by the specified date, the Larnaca Municipality has declared its intention to initiate legal proceedings against the responsible parties. This situation remains an active municipal matter until the deadline expires.
