Konstantinos Karetsas completes record-breaking transfer to Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund has finalized the signing of 19-year-old Greek attacking midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas from KRC Genk. The transfer, which marks a historic financial milestone for the Belgian club, involves a significant investment as Dortmund seeks to bolster its squad. While initial reports estimated the transfer fee around 33 million euros, subsequent updates suggest the deal package could reach 40 million euros, including a 10% sell-on clause retained by Genk.

Karetsas has traveled to Dortmund to undergo medical examinations and is expected to sign a five-year contract.
