Government officials inaugurate new social infrastructure in rural Cyprus

On Monday, July 27, 2026, Minister of Interior Konstantinos Ioannou visited Trimiklini to oversee the inauguration of a new nursery school and the delivery of vehicles to local voluntary organizations. The nursery school serves the Kouri-Xylourikou cluster, while the provided vehicles are intended to assist in the transport of children and the elderly, as well as to facilitate medical and other essential social services for residents in the mountainous region.

Representing the President of the Republic, Minister Ioannou emphasized that the revitalization of the mountainous countryside remains a top priority for the government. He noted that these initiatives demonstrate the importance of cooperation between the State, local government, civil society, and the private sector to improve daily living conditions for rural residents.
