Cyprus Third Division football league season 2026-2027 structure confirmed

The Cyprus Football Association (CFA) has finalized the arrangements for the 2026-2027 Third Division championship following a draw held on July 28, 2026, at the association's headquarters. The event, overseen by Deputy General Director Andreas Morias, confirmed that the upcoming season will feature a two-phase structure involving 17 participating teams. These clubs include FC Livadia 2022, AEZ Zakakiou, AEK Kellion, AEN Agiou Georgiou, Vrysoulles, Alki 1948 Larnacas, Anorthosis Mouttagiaka, Aspis Pylas, THOI Lakatamias, Ethnikos Assias, Ethnikos Latsion, Kedros Agias Marinas Skyloullas, Xylophagou FC, Othellos Athienou, Omonia Psevda, PO Achyronas Onisilos, and PO Ormideias.

While an initial announcement from Goal News Cy mentioned a start date of September 25, 2026, the official confirmation following the draw adjusted the commencement to September 11–13, 2026. The season will consist of a 15-match first phase. The administration also welcomed three teams promoted to higher divisions—Anagennisi Deryneias, AEP Polemidion, and Ermis Aradippou—while noting that weekly matches will continue to be broadcast via Cytavision. The competition remains committed to high standards of sportsmanship, with the CFA continuing its efforts to upgrade the league's quality for all member clubs.
