New study shows European smartphone users demand foldable technology

A recent study conducted in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain highlights that 85% of European users begin tasks on their smartphones only to finish them on devices with larger screens. The survey indicates that 69% of respondents favor the flexibility of thin phones that can unfold to provide additional screen real estate for demanding tasks.

Participants identified limited screen size as a primary source of dissatisfaction for 29% of users, while 25% noted frustration when switching between applications. Among the most frequent incomplete tasks are online shopping, product comparison, and the review of important documents, both cited by 26% of users. The findings suggest that current smartphone screens are reaching their functional limits for users engaging in multitasking, note-taking, or video editing.

This trend underscores a growing demand for foldable technology as a solution to bridge the gap between portable mobile convenience and the expansive display area required for complex professional or personal activities.
