Geroskipou municipality signs contract for bicycle path restoration

The Municipality of Geroskipou has officially announced the commencement of a restoration project for the existing bicycle path located on Thea Afroditis Avenue. A formal agreement was signed on July 27, 2026, by Geroskipou Mayor Nikos Palios and Rogiros Anastasis, representing the contractor company ANC Waterproofing Industries Ltd.

The project carries a contract value of €108,452.50, excluding VAT. The restoration works are scheduled to begin on September 1, 2026, with a completion timeline set for two months. This initiative is part of the municipality's broader strategy to upgrade public infrastructure in the tourist area of Geroskipou.

The primary objective of the restoration is to enhance the safety and functionality of the bicycle path for both local residents and visitors. By improving these transport facilities, the municipality aims to promote sustainable mobility and increase the appeal of the area for soft transport users.
