Limassol municipality proposes new multimodal mobility hub

The Municipality of Limassol has officially launched a public consultation process regarding the development of a new multimodal mobility hub located on Spilion Street. The project, which was presented to residents and stakeholders last Friday at the Panos Solomonidis Cultural Centre by lead designer Georgia Loizou, aims to address chronic traffic congestion and promote sustainable urban transit within the city.

The proposed hub will serve as an innovative Park & Ride station, integrating public buses, shared bicycles, car-sharing services, and taxis. By facilitating these connections, the municipality intends to reduce the reliance on private vehicles, lower carbon emissions, and improve overall accessibility to the city center. Following the initial presentation, authorities are now gathering feedback from the public to refine the project design and finalize the next stages of implementation.
