AEL Limassol begins pre-season training in Poland

AEL Limassol held its first open training session for the 2026-2027 season at the Parekklisia community stadium on July 28, 2026. The event saw a massive turnout of nearly 2,000 supporters who gathered to show their continued backing for the team. During the session, the squad interacted with fans and distributed autographs, while it was noted that forward Luther Singh was absent as he was in Portugal for passport renewal documentation.

Following the successful open training in Cyprus, the team, led by coach Hugo Martins, departed for the Sielanka Sport Centre in Poland on August 1, 2026, for the main stage of their pre-season preparation. The club confirmed a schedule of three friendly matches: against Legia Warsaw on August 3, Atromitos Athens on August 6, and Polonia Warsaw on August 9. The squad is expected to return to Cyprus on August 12 to finalize preparations for the new season, which is scheduled to begin in late August. AEL is currently continuing its recruitment efforts, with a primary focus on acquiring an organizing midfielder to strengthen the squad's competitiveness.
