Suri Cruise, the 18-year-old daughter of actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, has officially changed her name to Suri Noelle. Following a legal petition filed in New York, the court granted her request to drop her father's surname and adopt her mother's middle name, Noelle, as her legal surname. This transition marks a definitive legal shift as she embarks on her university career.

While the legal finalization was recently confirmed, the change has been in progress for some time. Suri first signaled the shift in 2024 when she omitted her father's surname from her high school graduation ceremony materials. More recently, she confirmed the official nature of the name change by registering to vote in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, under the name Suri Noelle. She is currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University, where she continues her studies under her new legal identity.
