Eden facility in Tersefanou to become a private hospital
The Hygeia Group has received regulatory approval from the Environmental Authority to transform the existing Eden rehabilitation and palliative care center in Tersefanou into a modern private hospital. This project follows the group's acquisition of the facility one year ago and aligns with their strategic goal of becoming the largest private provider of inpatient care in Cyprus.
The €1 million project involves significant internal renovations to the two primary buildings, including the construction of a metallic connecting bridge. The upgraded facility will feature a capacity of 95 beds, with interior modifications spanning rooms across multiple floors as well as the addition of new sanitary facilities and changing rooms in the basement and ground levels. According to the approved plans, the construction phase is expected to be completed within eight months.
This development marks a shift in regional medical infrastructure, providing the Dromolaxia-Meneou municipality with a high-standard healthcare facility. The project is now moving into its implementation phase following the conclusion of the regulatory approval process.
