EuroLeague announces 2026-27 season schedule for Olympiacos and Panathinaikos

The EuroLeague has released the schedule for the 2026-27 basketball season, revealing a demanding calendar for Greek teams Olympiacos and Panathinaikos. Both clubs will compete in a regular season format that includes ten double-game weeks, beginning as early as late September. Panathinaikos is set to open its campaign at home against Paris on September 24, while Olympiacos will host the newly entered Dubai team on September 25.

Following the opening week, the first 'double week' occurs between September 29 and October 2. During this period, Olympiacos will travel to face Zalgiris and Virtus Bologna, while Panathinaikos will remain in Athens for matches against Asvel and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The highly anticipated 'eternal derby' matches are scheduled for December 11, 2026, at OAKA and February 12, 2027, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium.

The regular season for the Greek clubs will conclude in mid-April 2027, with Panathinaikos hosting Real Madrid on April 15 and Olympiacos facing Valencia on April 16. The schedule highlights the intense travel and competitive load the teams will face throughout the season.
