APOEL leadership visits Dutch training camp as transfer efforts intensify

APOEL Nicosia President Haris Fotiou and Vice President Nikos Kougiallis have arrived in the Netherlands to oversee the team’s pre-season preparations. Their visit aims to evaluate the squad's progress firsthand and coordinate administrative and football-related matters. Meanwhile, Technical Director Zisis Vryzas is working to finalize the transfer strategy, with reports suggesting the club is close to announcing its seventh summer signing to address specific needs in the roster, particularly at the forward and midfield positions.

Head coach Nikos Papadopoulos is currently focused on implementing a new tactical identity for the team. The squad recently participated in a testing phase against Al-Fayha, split into four 30-minute segments. The first part resulted in a 1-0 victory for APOEL thanks to a goal by Petroso, while the second part ended in a defeat following a penalty. This evaluation period is critical, as the team faces a challenging start to the league season with four consecutive derbies against AEK, AEL, Anorthosis, and Apollon.

With one month remaining until the start of the league, the management is aiming to complete the roster quickly.
