Panathinaikos advances to the third qualifying round of the Conference League

Panathinaikos successfully qualified for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League following a 2-2 draw against Hungarian side Paks at the OAKA stadium on July 30, 2026. Having secured a 2-1 victory in the first leg in Hungary, the team coached by Jacob Neestrup managed to maintain its aggregate lead despite a competitive performance from their opponents. In the next round, Panathinaikos will face the Bulgarian club CSKA 1948, which reached this stage after defeating Spartak Trnava in a penalty shootout. The first leg is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at the OAKA stadium, with the return leg taking place in Bulgaria on Tuesday, August 11.
