New €40 million private international school planned for Limassol
A significant investment in the private education sector has been announced for the eastern coast of Limassol, Cyprus. The project involves the construction of a state-of-the-art educational complex with a total budget of €40 million, aimed at addressing the educational requirements of the greater Limassol region.
The development is a strategic partnership between the real estate firm CoolSide Development, which will hold the majority stake, and GEMS Education, a major global K-12 provider founded in 1959. The school will be situated on land owned by the Church of Cyprus in the Pyrgos area. GEMS School Management (GSM) will oversee the administrative and operational leadership, integrating the new institution into its global network.
An environmental information report has been submitted to the relevant authorities, marking the commencement of the implementation phase. The project is being promoted as a model for environmental and architectural standards. Operations at the facility are scheduled to begin once the construction phase is fully completed.
