Konstantinos Koulierakis completes permanent transfer to AS Roma
Greek international defender Konstantinos Koulierakis has officially joined the Italian Serie A club AS Roma, moving from VfL Wolfsburg. The transfer was finalized in early August 2026 after the defender successfully completed his medical examinations in Italy. He has signed a contract valid until the summer of 2031 and has been assigned the number 33 jersey.
The financial terms of the deal were reported as 15 million euros fixed, with additional performance-related bonuses bringing the potential total to 18 million euros. Koulierakis, who previously played for PAOK and VfL Wolfsburg, becomes the tenth Greek player in AS Roma's history. Previous reports varied regarding the exact financial structure, with some sources suggesting a 17 million euro deal including resale percentages; however, official confirmation from the club settled the fee at the 15+3 million euro structure.
Koulierakis, born in 2003, is expected to immediately integrate into the squad for the upcoming season. His acquisition is part of Roma's strategy to bolster their defensive line, having successfully competed against clubs from England and Spain to secure his signature.
