Cyprus Sports Organization clarifies ticket system issues
On July 30, 2026, the Cyprus Sports Organization (KOA) issued an official statement addressing complaints from fans regarding difficulties in purchasing tickets for European matches involving Cypriot football clubs. The organization clarified that it bears no responsibility for the technical blocks or access restrictions encountered by supporters during the online booking process.
The KOA explained that local football clubs have implemented restrictive ticketing policies due to high demand and limited seat availability for European fixtures. Clubs are prioritizing season ticket holders and fans with a history of attending previous matches. Consequently, individual club ticketing software is blocking other applicants and incorrectly directing them to contact the KOA for support. The organization explicitly stated that the Fan Card system is not involved in these decisions and advised the public that contacting the KOA regarding these specific issues is unnecessary.
