Apollon Limassol to face Brann in Conference League third qualifying round

Apollon Limassol has officially set a date for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League after learning their opponent, the Norwegian club Brann. Brann secured their advancement by defeating Universitatea Cluj with a 3-1 victory at home, following a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Romania.

The first match between Apollon and Brann is scheduled to take place in Norway on Wednesday, August 5, with the return leg set for Tuesday, August 11, at the Alphamega Stadium in Cyprus. A Polish officiating team led by referee Damian Kos has been appointed to oversee the first encounter. Following the announcement, the club has organized an official supporters' trip to Norway for the away game.

Looking ahead, Apollon will participate in the UEFA playoffs draw on Monday, August 3, in Nyon, where they will be placed in the unseeded group. Success against the Norwegian side would allow the Limassol team to progress to the final qualifying stage before the competition's League Phase. The team is currently preparing for this significant challenge after successfully eliminating Dila Gori in the second qualifying round.
