Public outcry over dumped animal carcasses in Ormideia

Residents of the community of Ormideia have reported a significant public health hazard on the main road leading to Dasaki tis Achnas, near the livestock area. According to local complaints, dead animal carcasses are being dumped on the side of the road, causing unbearable stench and potential sanitary risks, as residential homes are situated in close proximity.

Previously, a specialized container was available at the site for the disposal of dead animals, but its recent removal has led to carcasses being left directly on the ground for several days. Concerned citizens have filed formal reports with local authorities, the police, and the Veterinary Services. The area in question falls under the jurisdiction of the British Bases, which has prompted reports to the British Bases Police and the Civil Administrator. Residents are now demanding immediate action and the restoration of proper disposal facilities to mitigate the ongoing health threat.
