Cyprus police upgrades fleet with 80 new hybrid vehicles

The Cyprus Police force has officially upgraded its operational fleet by taking delivery of 80 new Hyundai Tucson 4x4 hybrid SUVs. The vehicles were supplied by CTC Automotive Ltd, a subsidiary of the Cyprus Trading Corporation, following the company's successful bid in a public procurement tender.

Charalambos Papacharalambous, the director of Hyundai in Cyprus, stated that the acquisition aims to support the police in fulfilling their mission. The new SUVs are equipped with modern hybrid technology, all-wheel drive, and advanced safety and comfort systems, which authorities expect will enhance the force's operational readiness and effectiveness across various environmental conditions.

This delivery represents a strategic modernization effort for the police department, reflecting a collaboration between the public and private sectors. The introduction of these vehicles is intended to replace older units and ensure that officers have reliable equipment to perform their duties efficiently throughout the island.
