Iraklis close to signing APOEL defender Vitor Mir
Greek club Iraklis Thessaloniki is nearing a final agreement to sign Brazilian left-back Vitor Mir, according to reports citing Athletiko.gr. The 1.80m tall defender, who has spent the last two years at APOEL in Cyprus, is expected to join the Thessaloniki squad to provide additional depth alongside teammates Rob Nizet and Danny Munioz.
Mir, a product of the Corinthians youth system, remains under contract with APOEL for another two years. However, the Cypriot club appears to no longer count him as part of their plans following the recent acquisition of Angel Garcia from AEK Larnaca. Although Omonia Aradippou had previously expressed strong interest in acquiring the player, reports indicate that Iraklis has successfully overtaken them in the pursuit of the transfer.
Having departed Corinthians as a free agent in the summer of 2024, Mir is now on the verge of continuing his career in Greece. All involved parties are reportedly close to finalizing the deal, marking a strategic move for Iraklis to reinforce their defensive line for the upcoming season.
