Vitor Meer joins Iraklis Thessaloniki on loan from APOEL

Iraklis Thessaloniki has officially acquired Brazilian left-back Vitor Meer on a one-year loan deal from APOEL Nicosia. The agreement, confirmed by the Cypriot club on July 31, 2026, will see the 24-year-old defender remain with the Greek side until the end of the 2026-2027 season. Prior to this, reports suggested that Omonia Aradippou was also interested in the player, but Iraklis successfully finalized the transfer to bolster their defensive line alongside Rob Nizet and Dani Munoz.

Meer joined APOEL in 2024 after coming through the Corinthians youth academy in Brazil. Although he remains under contract with APOEL for two more years, the club decided to loan him out following the arrival of Angel Garcia from AEK Larnaca. The move is intended to provide the defender with more playing time and professional experience in a new environment, while APOEL intends to monitor his progress throughout the duration of the loan.
