Minds in Cyprus initiative reports progress in diaspora engagement

During the Annual World Conference of the Cypriot Diaspora, the office of the Deputy Minister to the President announced significant progress regarding the "Minds in Cyprus" initiative. One year after its launch, over 750 Cypriot professionals residing globally have registered on the program's digital platform. Concurrently, Cypriot employers have posted more than 400 specialized job vacancies to attract returning talent, while the diaspora has submitted over 300 inquiries and proposals to the administration.

The initiative, which was officially announced by the President of the Republic in London in May 2025, is coordinated by the Presidency in collaboration with relevant ministries, Invest Cyprus, and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). More than 20 major domestic companies and organizations have already participated in associated events. The project aims to integrate the expertise and international experience of the diaspora into the nation's evolving economic and development model. By moving from a strategic announcement to an operational policy, the government intends to formalize the connection between the global Cypriot workforce and the domestic labor market, fostering long-term economic growth and professional reintegration.
