Cyprus reports industrial output and price index data for mid-2026
The Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat) released updated economic performance data covering the spring and early summer of 2026. In May 2026, the industrial production index rose by 0.5 per cent year-on-year, reaching 116.7 units. Between January and May, overall output expanded by 1.5 per cent. While manufacturing and mining sectors showed growth, particularly in non-metallic mineral products which rose by 5.5 per cent, the water supply and materials recovery sector declined by 3.4 per cent.
Separately, the Index of Industrial Output Prices increased by 2.3 per cent annually in June 2026, reaching 125.8 units. This reflects a 0.3 per cent monthly rise from May. On an annual basis, price gains were observed across all sectors, led by water supply and materials recovery at 5.8 per cent and electricity supply at 3.6 per cent. For the first half of 2026, industrial output prices recorded a total growth of 0.8 per cent compared to the same period in 2025.
