Kings Kangwa joins Panathinaikos on a four-year contract

Panathinaikos has officially completed the signing of Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa from the Israeli club Hapoel Beer Sheva. The 27-year-old player arrived in Greece on July 30, following his final appearance for his former team, where he contributed to their qualification for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Vikingur.

After successfully completing his medical examinations in Athens, Kangwa signed a four-year contract with the Greek club on July 31, 2026, which will keep him at Panathinaikos until the summer of 2030. According to media reports, the contract is valued at approximately 1 million euros per year. Prior to the official announcement, the midfielder was spotted attending Panathinaikos' match against Paksi at the OAKA stadium.

Born in Kasama, Zambia, in 1999, Kangwa began his professional career in his home country before moving to Russia to play for Arsenal Tula in 2019. Following the formalization of his transfer, the player expressed his commitment to working hard to help the team achieve its competitive goals for the upcoming season.
