Larnaca hosts second annual Th-Eros Tradition Festival

The coastal city of Larnaca, Cyprus, is set to host the second edition of the Th-Eros Tradition Festival on August 1 and 2, 2026. The event, held in Europe Square, focuses on blending traditional folk heritage with contemporary artistic expressions through music, dance, and handicrafts.

The two-day program features live performances by several musical groups. On August 1, bands Paspartou and Kideria are scheduled to take the stage. The following day, August 2, will feature music by the bands Santouto and Nomades, with a headline performance by prominent Cypriot folk musician Michalis Tterlikkas. In addition to the musical performances, the square will host various stalls offering handmade items for attendees.

Organizers state that the festival's visual and cultural identity is inspired by traditional forms, aiming to keep folk customs relevant in a modern context. By inviting people of all ages to participate in traditional dances, the event serves as a bridge between historical customs and the present day.
