Arsenal reaches agreement to sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle
Arsenal has reached a definitive agreement with Newcastle United for the transfer of 28-year-old Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. Following weeks of intense negotiations, the deal is set to be finalized for approximately 90 million euros, or 80 million pounds. The player has already agreed to personal terms, securing a long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium that will run until the summer of 2031.
Guimaraes, who joined Newcastle in 2022, was a key priority for Arsenal’s management to bolster their midfield. Recent reports indicate that the player did not join Newcastle’s pre-season training camp in Spain to facilitate his departure. The midfielder is expected to undergo mandatory medical examinations at the beginning of the coming week to finalize his five-year deal with the Premier League champions, following Arsenal's decision to offload Christian Norgaard to Everton to streamline their squad.
